One-on-One Personal Training

Group Exercise Sessions
Not everyone can afford Personal Training sessions, but that doesn’t prevent you from getting results. Join in on one of the following Group Exercise Sessions and join many other people moving closer to their health and fitness goals everyday! Park activities are conducted as part of and with the approval of Gold Coast City Council’s Active and Healthy program.
1. Nifty over 50′s:
Designed specifically for people over 55years of age. Low Impact exercises taking into account health issues that are prominent in that age bracket. Participants are given a proper warm up and cool down and stretching. The class incorporates walking drills with other cardio and resistance training. Body weight, resistance tubing, Therabands, medicine balls and light weights are utilized to improve heart fitness, burn fat and increase functional strength and endurance while having a bit of fun and getting some social interaction (Monthly cup of tea morning after the class). Duration 50min (Not on during public holidays. Bookings are essential as you must fill out a health screening questionnaire.)

2. Parents PT:
This is a non choreographed class combining boxing-based cardio exercise and some basic kicks with circuits involving station rotations that combine strength and power work with cardiovascular exercise using a variety of equipment including skipping ropes, 1-5kg weights, medicine balls etc. Boxing gloves and mitts are provided. All participants will be required to wear wrist straps and cotton inners for health and safety. Punch, duck and weave your way back into your jeans! Not suitable for women who have a baby 6weeks old or have had a caesarian 3mths ago or for people with shoulder or neck injuries. Duration 50min (No Classes on Public Holidays and some school holiday times. Bookings are essential as you must fill out a health screening questionnaire.)

3. Heart and Diabetes Exercise:
This low-moderate intensity exercise program is designed to be safe for those with or at risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, obesity, and is suitable for Falls Prevention. Seated versions of every exercise make this class suitable for transition care and elderly people. The Friday class is slightly slower paced. Some people might require a medical clearance to exercise; therefore bookings are essential as a health screening questionnaire is required to be filled out. Communication with your GP or allied health professional is included as part of this class. Enjoy some social interaction at the monthly cup of tea after the class. No classes on Public Holidays. Duration 50min

4. Lungs in Action:


Lungs in Action is an exercise maintenance program designed for people with stable chronic lung conditions (such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) who have completed a pulmonary rehabilitation program. These classes have been specifically designed by The Australian Lung Foundation in conjunction with experts in Physiotherapy, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine and Exercise Physiology. The classes provide the essential structure that enables clients to maintain an exercise routine that is critical to keeping them well, socially connected and out of hospital. The Monday class is suitable for people on supplemental oxygen. No classes on Public Holidays. Bookings are essential.

5. General Group Fitness training
A fun and active group training program to suit people of all fitness levels – what a great way to start the day. This is general fitness class that mixes up heaps of different exercises into a varied program that can include circuits, pyramid training, intervals, boxing, stretching, core exercise. There is some walking/running in this class, so it may not be suitable for some back and knee injuries although alternatives are offered. Duration 55min. (No Classes on Public Holidays. Bookings are essential as you must fill out a health screening questionnaire.)
