“You have obviously put a lot of thought into your program. Good warm up /cool down sessions with solid workout throughout. Your perception of people’s (individual’s) limits and capabilities, and your guidance within the program to suit that, show your professional and personal level is high for the training.” Phil B. (Men’s Boxing For Fitness Group Exercise Class)
“I have felt very self conscious and like I have no idea what I’m doing at any gym I’ve been to and that’s why Liz’s classes are perfect for me. Liz knows the individual needs and limits of each of her clients and adapts every exercise accordingly so we exercise in a very caring and fun environment. I feel stronger and fitter and look forward to every class. I would and have recommend Liz’s classes to anyone.” Sherri D. (Yummy Mummies Boxing For Fitness Class)

Personal Training

“Before I started training with Liz, 10 weeks ago, I felt old and stiff. My hips constantly ached, I suffered from migraines and I was seriously overweight and very unhappy with my appearance.
I thought that Personal Training was for young and fit people, not for a 55 year old, post-menopausal woman, who had never exercised. I felt too unhealthy to exercise and didn’t even know where to begin.
My diet included all the wrong things, such as fast food, chips, chocolate, sweets and desserts on a daily basis. My fluid intake was mainly soft drinks, juices, dairy, alcohol and too much coffee.
I didn’t look forward to social outings and when my largest favourite “after-five” outfit was too tight, I knew that I had to lose weight and NOT continue to buy bigger clothes! My brother had made the comment to me – “Annette, there is still a thinner you inside there!”
So my brother and I researched Personal Trainers on the internet. When I read Liz Harper’s site, she seemed to really care about “the person” and I felt like I would be comfortable with Liz and not intimidated or embarrassed.
My first meeting with Liz gave me confidence to start, as she explained how we would start exercising and then builds slowly, including changing my dietary habits. All that I had to do at the start was to drink more water and drink green tea! Liz was definitely not judgmental. She empathized with the life experiences affecting my mental and physical well-being.
I was very nervous before my first training session, but Liz quickly put me at ease. I knew I had found the best Personal Trainer possible for me as she guided me through my first session. I was excited when I completed each task and Liz continually gave me positive feedback.
I never ever had to do more than I could cope with. Liz is firm but fair and pushes you just enough. I was building on each session without realizing how far my fitness level had increased.
I was NEVER on a diet and I NEVER felt hungry. Liz just explained it was about making healthy food choices and that what you eat and drink fuels your body and gives you energy. She even gave me tips that worked to help me deal with cravings.I now feel fit and healthy. I love going for long walks, wearing exercise gear without feeling self conscious. I can finally wear jeans, my hips don’t ache, I no longer have migraines and I can reach my toes without twisting sideways to put on my shoes, socks or trousers.
My self-esteem is high and I feel that I am able to cope with daily life much better.
Liz builds on each session with a lovely calm approach, giving encouragement and positive reinforcement. She is patient and understanding, taking care to explain how to execute each movement correctly, so as to maximize results. Liz is a great motivator and mentor.
Ten weeks down the track and my outlook on life has now changed. I can look forward to buying clothes that fit and not looking for clothes to camouflage. I can also look in the mirror without getting depressed.
Exercise makes you feel healthy and then flows on to your improved mental health and emotional well-being. It lifts you out of your lethargy and you feel so much better about yourself.
I have had so many comments about how different I look and that my face has changed. The thing is, its not just the exterior that has changed…I now have back that inner glow that I thought I had lost forever.
Ten weeks ago, I felt 55 years OLD. Now I feel 55 years YOUNG! Do yourself a favour and train with Liz.”
